Billie E. Loughridge, 1928-2003, Sedalia
Billie E. Loughridge, 75, of Sedalia,
died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003,
at Bothwell Regional
Health Center.
He was born Aug. 31, 1928,
in California, Mo.,
a son of Mitchell and Lula Cannady Loughridge. On March 19, 1954, in Sedalia,
he married Betty Barlow, who survives of the home.
Mr. Loughridge was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked for Roseland
Meat Co. for 15 years. He also worked for the City of Sedalia's
Street and Alley Department as a heavy machinery operator until he retired in
1992. He was a member of Broadway Baptist
Church.
Survivors also include a daughter, Nancy Warren, of Sedalia;
a brother, Lash Loughridge, of Blue Springs;
a sister, Alice Barnes, of Sedalia;
five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, Russell Irwin; four sisters, Pauline Dees,
Maxine Loughridge, Hattie Brizdine and Ellen Copas; and four brothers, Lawrence
Loughridge and three in infancy.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m.
Tuesday at the Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with Dr. Donald Allcorn and
E. Fred Biggs officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be W.R. Luckow, Jake Dillon, George Ditzfeld, Roger Vieth,
Joe Bass and John Higgins. Honorary pallbearers will be David Bryant, Bob
Haggard, Jess Marquess, Lloyd Paxton, Charlie Amos, Clifford Dickey and Charles
Curry.
The family will receive friends from 7
to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
